Time for our first spring cleaning of the boat and I got one question. When cleaning and polishing the Hull do you avoid the striping with the Merry Fisher name or can you polish right over it?

Sorry no one has answered you but on cars and boats I always wax over the decals. Polish like compound I would not recommend, but wax or even one of the newer spray waxes would be fine. The harder type carnuba waxes will probably leave white residue along the lines, but a soft toothbrush will probably do fine here. I would pick a product for ease of use, try it, and then if you like the results, go for it.
Good luck and if you are still with us, post your results and product choice.

I agree with John. I use Collinite Fleetwax paste (recommended by a boating buddy) and go right over the decals. Just waxed it last week and it goes on and off pretty easy and leaves a great shine, but you don't want to let it comlpletly dry or it is difficult to remove. I also use a polish spray wax for quick shine. I haven't tried other products but I'm sure others on the forum use products they like as well.
Good luck!

Meguires is a fantastic wax! We left our RV in Yuma, AZ for summer and the amount of rust was very surprising. Our motorhome looked like it had aged 10 years. We're proud of all of our vehicles, so I looked at how we could make our RV look Decent again. Meguire's products got high marks so I bought them and our motorhome actually looked like new again. I won't lie, it took a lot of muscle to get rid of rust and we had to buy a new shock, but the results were worth it. Our entire RV travel club has now bought it for their platforms too.
