Any chance we can see a picture of your boat with the name please? Hi njtaxman, I’d love to post a picture of my boat but after trying numerous times, I’ve decided it would be easier to build a nuclear submarine:(!!! Pls email me at rolexer@yahoo.com and I’ll send you a pic of the name placement. Thx!

My new NC 895 Offshore should be ready for pickup in about a week. Very excited. It will be our family's first boat which is a bit daunting and overwhelming. Two questions. 1. Is there any sort of consensus about the best tender solution? 2. Has anyone created a list of everything that we need to buy before taking delivery? Our delivery will be on the water so quite a few of the safety items are covered. I am a taker of information now and hope to be a giver of information later when we better understand what we are doing. Hey luckyone! No tender recommendations but if you email me at rolexer@yahoo.com, I’ll share all my experiences with my 2.5 week old 895 Offshore and try to help you with a list of items you’ll need and what your dealer should provide at delivery! Best wishes!

Asked for confirmation of delivery date and they moved from May to June. Concerned June may become July. Season is already too short. Your experience? Captn Lynn 4/2/18 "End of this month"--It is almost the end of this month. How's your status? Delawhere 2/24/18 "Early April"--do you have your boat? Conics 2/5/18 "Coming in May" --Have you confirmed? Thanks Delivery is this Saturday at 1pm! Spent the week doing a sea trial and correcting any issues found Weather has been crappy here so really haven’t pushed things until last week. All on track and looking forward to a successful launch in two more days. The crew at Rudy Marine in Lewes, DE have been superb. Tax free too! Good luck all. We also got our 695 from Rudy Marine.. Took delivery on Mother's Day in the rain.. fun times Here's hoping for a great season ..

Does anyone have an opinion about a reasonable number of hours of labour to be charged to install a Raymarine EV-150 after all of the other Raymarine electronics (Axiom, Radar, VHF, transducer) have been installed?
This is a trust but verify question based on how I negotiated my deal. Not looking to trip anyone up, just happy to get an idea.
The boat has 2x200 outboards.
The Raymarine forum is heavily moderated so no joy there.

Here’s an update on my 895 delivery. First some background. This boat slot was purchased by the Sundance dealer earlier last year and I completed the paperwork for its configuration and purchase the end of November. Shortly thereafter I was told I was locked in with a build completion that was supposed to be April 20th 2018. Several times Jan through March I was told all was good and my boat was locked in for the build configuration and delivery date. In early April the completion date was moved to May 15. Per my dealer (Sundance) they were told the factory was a bit behind in their builds. A week ago I got a call from Sundance. My dealer was pretty upset. The factory in Cadillac was building the wrong boat in the slot that was supposed to be mine (hull 28) but Sundance did not know this until last week. Hull 28 was apparently a phantom boat not ordered by anyone. This story is getting pretty wierd isn’t it. Sundance never got the truth on how the factory screwed this all up. But they were able to buy the phantom boat which is great for them and plan to bring it to Seattle as a show boat rather than selling it right away. And you are of course wondering about my boat. Well I’m told my boat is now hull 33. It’s being accelerated ahead of hull 32 to get it done sooner. I’m told (via Sundance) the factory has accelerated production of their boats rather than being behind and is putting out an 895 every 3 working days. My boat is supposed to be done and shipped May 30th. Very frustrating that this happened but I guess it could be worse. Sundance has sweetened the pot for me. They are holding the phantom boat (hull 28) until mine (hull 33) is ready and will ship both here to Seattle on a long trailer so We will share shopping costs and save me some Money. And after my boat is configured and seal trials complete and accepted by me in Blaine Sundance offered to truck it down to where I live (south of Seattle) rather than me taking it by water. So that’s a nice offer. So hopefully in the first part of June I have a boat. I wish others good luck and hopefully no other phantom boats in the Cadillac Michigan factory. After proofreading this I still find the whole story bizarre and hard to believe :,)

Luckyone,
I do have a recommendation for a tender. I have a Achilles LT-2. It’s small but lightweight and tough. I used it with my previous boat a Merry Fisher 695. Uninflated it fit in the cockpit under floor locker. Inflated I’d toss it on the roof upside down and put a couple of bungies across it. I will be using it with my NC895 if it ever gets built. See previous story :,)

Hi Captain Lynn! Thank you for the update. I am so confused! Which Sundance are you dealing with? We currently have a delivery date set for July 2nd and I have not heard yet if we are on track. My dealer (Sundance in Blaine) has been busy with boat shows so I am hoping to hear something soon. I would like to lock down financing ASAP.
At least you have a beautiful NC 895 within reach!!

Hello Stacey
I’m working with the Sundance Office in Seattle. My boat however will be commissioned in Blaine. Sundance does their major boat work there such as engine installs. What hull number is your 895? Regardless of being busy, the Sundance folks in Blaine should be getting regular reports from the factoy in Cadillac and should be able to report on your boat. So I’d suggest you be the squeaky wheel to get that info. On the positive side, Greg the sales manager in Seattle tells me the factory is getting back on schedule and has accelerated completing boats. Perhaps I’ll see you in Blaine. :,)

Does that represent the build order? I live in Blaine and my 855 that I'm trading in for the 895 is in the Blaine marina. Would you let us take a peek at your 895 when you come to Blaine? Stacey

I have the latest spreadsheet of jeanneau deliveries to Sundance. I’d guess you are either hull 39 or 42 but no way to know without talking to Sundance at Blaine. 39 has a date of July 6 to leave the factory and 42 is July 19. I can send you the spreadsheet if you like although it’s not supposed to be shared with other dealers. My email is lynnardm@hotmail.com if you want to set up communications. And yes, let’s get together in Blaine. I’ll let you know when the boat date firms up. Capt’n Lynn

Hello All,
I'm new to the forum. My wife and I bought an Offshore NC895 with twin 200hp Yamahas last July and we're loving it. I look forward to learning from other owners on this forum and, hopefully, can contribute some useful information.
We previously owned a Formula SS260 and, to be honest, were prepared to sacrifice some riding performance for the creature comforts of the NC895. But, that hasn't been the case: the NC895 performs great!
So far, our longest trip was from our home on Long Island up the Hudson River to just past the beginning of the Erie Canal (i.e., Waterford, NY). The roughest waters we encountered were in NY harbor but the NC895 handled them fine. Cruising the ocean was easy as conditions were good.
I'm made a few changes to the boat. Installed a Fusion RA70 stereo head at the helm, a pair of Bose cube speakers in the wheelhouse, a pair of Poly-Planar speaker for the back deck, and a Kenwood subwoofer under the aft dinette seat. It all sounds great! I also disconnected the LED floor lights in the wheelhouse and added dimmers to the wheelhouse ceiling lights. The factory lighting was too bright for us.
Our boat doesn't have a genset so I'm currently working on adding a power inverter and an additional battery so that we can use the coffee maker, microwave oven, toaster oven, etc. while away from shore power.

Well finally are supposed to take delivery of our nc 895 off shore this coming Wednesday. Hull #27. It was trucked in to the dealer in Graysonville Md. Two issues about the boat. There is no stove, just a plate kinda like a cutting board, and the dealer can't seem to tell us why. But more importantly, It came with no overhead cabinets in the forward birth. Storage space for small stuff is sparse enough already. The dealer is telling us that the cabinets are unavailable. All the boxes were checked on the order form when ordered. Has anyone been told that on a 2018 model? Other than that we plan to go to the many places on the Chesapeake bay we haven't been before. Looking forward to Wednesday!

Ramon,
Bummer about the options missing on hull 27. I appreciate it that you posted the issues with the missing stove and storage cabinets. I requested the electric stove and the shortage cabinets among other things. I will check with my dealer in Seattle And report back. My boat is hull 33. I was informed today it is on schedule for completion at Cadillac June 6th.

Ramon--when I ordered back in May the Dealer Rep told me we could no longer get a propane stove, because the manufacturer did not have someone with the qualifications/certifications (whatever) to allow them to install at factory. That is all I know.

I visited the general manager (Greg at Sundance) in Seattle yesterday. Here is an update on what I learned on 895's in the USA.
Storage cabinets in the fwd stateroom (above the windows) are not available in the US. Even though they were on the options list they are not being installed in the US. The Jeanneau rep told my dealer they were informed about this change but Greg tells me that if that was done he missed it. So my boat and others that were supposed to have cabinets will not have them. Greg is looking into the possibility or ordering the cabinets from France and installing them locally.
Cooktops - Jeanneau is still not installing the gas cooktops due to lack of certification at the factory. Greg says they (Sundance) are installing them locally after the boats arrive - no big deal to do this. In my case I ordered the ceramic elec cooktop and it should be installed at the factory.
Completion dates - The factory in Cadillac has again fallen behind in meeting their delivery dates. My boat (now hull 33) did have an adjusted completion date at Cadillac of June 6th. The date has now been changed to a delivery/ship date of June 19th. A senior Jeanneau rep (I forget his name) has moved from France to Cadillac to try to get on top of the factory issues. Unfortunately it appears like all boats will be delayed from the delivery dates that were previously given.
There is some positive news. Hull 33 (my boat) will be a 2019 model rather than a 2018. There are no changes, it will just be identified as a 2019 boat. Somewhere near hull 33 the factory switched to building the 2019's. So those getting boats after hull 33 should be 2019's. I don't know the exact pointy so some slightly earlier hulls, e.g. hull 32, might be 2019's. Interesting development in my case as I actually ordered my boat at the end of 2017.
Due to all the mixups and delays with my boat Greg has talked Jeanneau into giving me a certificate for use at the Jeanneau Botique. Yes, I realize its not as good as something like 10 percent off the price. But its better than a kick in the butt. And I have been wanting to get some decent boating jackets for me and my lady :')

Picked up our 895 last Wednesday on the Chesapeake bay. Spent last night in the Annapolis harbor (ego alley). There's a cars and coffee car show there every Sunday morning and it was like the 895 was part of the show! Many people checking out the boat, nothing like it seen before. Now there is a few issues. The twin 200's will not tilt all the way out of the water, gear box and prop are still submerged and over time this is not going to work. Is anyone else having this problem? The two bilge pumps sure run a lot, where's all that water coming from, yes I need to get my head down there and find out! But they also keep running a lot after the water is pumped out, very annoying, trying to nap at anchor later today. Had to open the battery switches to shut them up! All and All were glad we did the deal and looking forward to good times this summer!

Have a question about the shore power on my new lest than a week old 895 that you guys might help me with. It has two shore power cords, one for the ac only which works fine, the other for the 12 volt system. I was told to leave the main battery switches off by the salesmen when using shore power, the problem is there is power to the battery charger but none to any 12 volt device, I'm beginning to believe that all that cord does is supply the charger and 115 volt outlet which would mean the battery switches need to be on to have lights, pumps, fridge, etc.
Sense I was told to leave the battery switches off I'm hesitant to switch them on while shore power is hot to find out. What could happen? Did I get completely wrong instructions?

All and All were glad we did the deal and looking forward to good times this summer! We have had the Jeanneau 855 for just about a year and our bilge pump almost never runs. Truthfully, I have never heard it run, we might be slowly sinking. I'm not positive but I would imagine that there are only a few holes in the 895 haul. There should be two seacocks for the toilet, they are probably located under the sink in the washroom. You may want to check under the bed in the master stateroom around the bow thruster as well. Having said that, I would probably check the bilge pump for issues first. I'm not sure how familiar you are with outboards but... the hydraulic pump will make 3 different sounds as the outboards are raising. Make sure that you don't stop pushing the trim up just as the outboards get to the top of the trim phase and start into the tilt phase (making a different sound). Once the Yamaha(?) display shows that the outboards are trimmed all the way up(out) it will flash red (I believe) while the outboards tilt, at a faster rate, the rest of the way out of the water. Be sure to move your cockpit seat to the forward position before doing this or you will regret raising them at all You could also be low on trim tilt fluid but i doubt that is the case being a new boat.

It doesnt come on when the batteries are switched off, which i see as an issue. when batteries are on and after all the water is pumped it stays on. I turn it off and within 10 seconds back on. They are going to replace the pump and see if that fixes the issue. Will keep you posted.

I would leave the 12 volt switches on when connected to shore power. All the shore cored does is run a battery charger that charges your batteries while plugged in. None of your 12 volt equipment, like the fridge, lights, pump etc will run without the batteries on. I never turn the 12 volt circuit off and you need it on to run the bilge pumps, while you are away from the Boat. We have a 2018 NC 895 without air conditioner so we only have one shore power cord that keeps the batteries charged. I haven't had any issues leaving the batteries on and the shore cord on or running the generator. Best of luck and call the dealer if you want to be clear about it.

Thank you guys for the replies. About the shore power thing, seems I was assuming the cord powered a transformer that powered the 12 volt circuit, so it only powers battery charger, plus the 115 volt outlet.
The dealer has ordered a new bilge pump to replace the forward one. Also they owe me overhead cabinets for the forward birth that was not installed, plus the electric cook top not installed, seems they are not sure why.
And the Dealer's checking on why the Yamaha's are not raising all of the way out of the water. I'm aware how they are supposed to operate as I have a 200 on my pontoon boat.

Hey everyone! After 9 loooooong months, we are finally taking delivery of our new NC 895 this weekend and we can't wait! I've read through all of the posts here and found some pretty useful stuff, so I appreciate all of the sharing and tips. We're getting her USCG documented and curious to know where you all are placing your name and hailing port. Would any of you mind sharing picture examples? Feel free to email me directly at todd.olsted@gmail.com if you can't post pictures here. Thanks and happy boating!
