Jeanneau 39 DS 2007 model closed fairleads and has any one had this problem with mooring and the fairlead hole is to small and fiddly
the later model look as if they has 50mm cut out of them is this a DIY or a factory mood if DIY whats the best results grinder or hacksaw thanks for any help David

I think you are referring to the line chocks, or at least that is what we call them in the US. In late 2007, Jeanneau offered the late year models with open chocks, so they were factory installed and you no longer had to feed them through the closed "eye". Since they are stainless, I don't see any reason why you could not cut them, grind and polish them to make them the open version. We took delivery in NOV 2007 and Tafika 2 has open chocks. If you want me to measure the spacing, I'll be on the boat tomorrow & can measure + take a picture. Please keep in mind, our boat is a 42DS but I would think the gap opening would be the same.
