Hi Greg, glad I could help. You are on the way now.
We use our 30i as a “boatavan” but of course it is not trailable, something I miss about the previous one. Some ten years after towing the bare hull down to Melbourne from Brisbane, we towed the complete and much loved boat up to the Whitsundays, where we had four weeks on the water, so about six weeks overall. A great advantage of the trailerable is that this is possible, even if you mainly go to the same waterway. Easier in many ways for maintenance as well.
It sounds like you have your boat pretty well equipped, ours was primitive camping by comparison, but it is all fun and great for the whole family.

Hi guys. Any body knows if you can fit an in hull transducer on a merry fisher 795 2017 model? Because i'm not sure about thickness and material of the hull, if the signals of the transducer will pass without any issues. As i went trough registration process i cannot find serial number on the boat . i only found it on CE conformity certificate Is it written somewhere else? Thanks in advance.

I looked on the Jeanneau spare parts site and found the LED light that can be purchased, but it didn’t have the manufacture listed. You might be able to get that info if you pull the light down and look on the back side.
Good Luck!

Hi Rene460 Thanks for helping. Failed step 1 but now trying REPLY button. Second attempt. First typing effort disappeared during process. Anyway our newish MF795 is working really well as both boat & boat-a-van. Features Victron Smart Charger/Shore Power, Victron Solar Regulator, 3 x 105aH batteries, 2 x 100W Solar panels, 2 x Fridges, Bimini with drop-down sides & rear, port & starboard weather awnings to cabin, foredeck sunshade for windscreen & most factory options. New Mercury ProXS 225HP V8 outboard works well. Will fit trim tabs soon as we usually travel in Heavy-Ship mode. Hey Greg, sounds like a nice setup. That Merc ProXS 225 is a pretty sweet engine. I’ve always felt the 795 could use a bit more power, but when I purchased my 795 several years ago I was told by the dealer that Jeanneau would not certify a motor larger than the F200, so I’d be interested to know what your dealer told you? When you look to add the trim tabs you will find several good threads on the forum. I have the Bennett electric tabs and I’m happy with them, but the newest trim tabs I’d consider is the Zipwake system. A few owners have installed them and seem to be pretty happy. Happy Cruising, Ron

Took delivery of my NC795 in Vancouver, Canada on Thursday. Only one outing so far, from its previous marina to its current home. (Milltown to Burrard Civic, for people who know Vancouver). Yes, as the picture makes obvious, our marina is right in the middle of town, which I actually like. Also it comes with the a priceless waterfront car-parking spot. It's a 2017 with a big 42 hours on the engine; the cushions still had the plastic wrap on! The previous owner had backed it out of their boathouse into a rock, so the whole engine bottom had to be replaced before we could do the deal. Still learning my way around. As you can't see from the picture, there's not much space between our dock and the next one over, so flipping it around to dock on the starboard where the little gate is presents a challenge. Normally, there's a hulking 40-foot fatso docked in front, adding to the degree of difficulty. It's got no heater, which is definitely a problem; on our sea trial it was chilly and rainy and that huge windshield fogged up unmercifully. Working on getting a quote, which sounds like a common activity among owners of this boat. My primary boat advisor recommends Webasto. One other problem: On the first attempt, totally failed to figure out which cushions go where in the cockpit; I'm sure I'll overcome this problem. Anyhow, there's now a symbolic beer in the fridge waiting for the first outing. Normally, we use the boat to commute back and forth to our summer cabin on Keats Island. But there are plenty of places to go cruising up here in the Pacific Northwest.

Hi timbray.
Nice boat! I own a 795 in Norway as well. Since you mentioned the heating. I have a Webasto 2000STC installed. During summer the heating is sufficient but when it’s getting colder I realized it’s not enough. I will upgrade to a EVO 40 at one point. Also to have more than only two outlets. May I ask you what kind of batteries are installed on yours?
Enjoy the boat!

Don't know the exact model - could look if it matters - but they are no-water no-touch no-maintenance type.

FYI
I noticed that miabellaragazza stated that a future addition to their 795 would be a float switch on their bilge pump. I purchased a 2019 NC 795 and launched in late April. I put the boat in a marina slip after a short cruise and went back 30 hours later to find approx 16 inches of water in my bilge.
After investigation I found out there was NO Automatic bilge pump on this boat. I was pretty upset to say the least because I had asked a technician at the dealership, before I took delivery of the boat, what I needed to do to have the bilge pump function automatically. I was told as long as the Main Cabin power switch was turned on, the bilge pump would function automatically.
NOT TRUE !! The only way the bilge pump would turn on was with the manual bilge pump switch on the helm (with the main Cabin power switch also turned on). I would have never taken delivery of the boat without an automatic bilge pump.
I had a float switch added to the bilge pump connected directly to a fused hot wire from the battery to fix the problem.
I wondered if other NC 795 owners were aware of this situation ? My boat could have sunk if I hadn't gone to check on it.

Just a comment - these boats are complex beasts. While the factory production line does a great job but things can go wrong. In my case a water tank not wired up to the water gauge, and incorrect wiring that prevented isolation of the house and starter battery systems. I think it is important to understand all the systems on the boat and test them occasionally. In my case the bilge pump failed when the foot valve seized shut because of infrequent use and a mainly dry bilge. Enjoy a great boat.

I'd like to have my 795's name painted on. Where have people found to be a good place to apply its name? Pictures appreciated.

Suppose just hypothetically you have a 795 tied up and it’s pretty new and still smells sort of plasticky inside. Also, it’s warm this time of year. So, you close the door and windows and sunroof and hatch, but you want a little air in there so you leave the head porthole open.
Then, suppose it rains hard all night.
Well, on the upside, I learned that the head floor is well sealed. Also, that it can hold really a lot of water before it spills out over the door sill. And it didn't take that long to bail out.

Added Blue LEDs in the Saloon which was super easy....Then I went to add the same blue LED out in the cockpit....Didn't realize that light was caulked in as well as screwed....It took some time to cut/slice the caulk off....I did re-caulk and screw the new light on....All-in-all it came out amazing! The underwater blue lights and now with the boat LED blue lights; makes her look amazing at night.... I purchased the new LED lights from West Marine (5 inch)….They have both the white/blue option on the

Timbray, I don’t recall the sunroof or hatch installation Details on the 795. It’s probably similar to our 895. The 895 has raised edges all the way around the Openings. So the hatch can be raised about 1/4” and latched/locked to allow ventilation and if it rains the water is channeled around the opening and doesn’t come into the berth. Of course I don’t leave port with the hatch in this position as if a wave went over the bow it would allow a lot of water to quickly flood the main berth. The sunroofs are similar. I just unlatch the bar and raise the one end of the sunroof. Water from above is channeled around the opening out over the forward end of the roof. But the sunroofs can’t be locked in this position. Hi Dave, I'm also interested in the Zipwake system. May I ask whereabouts you put them and what size model did you get? (A picture would be awesome.) Thanks, Marc Hi Marc, apologies for delayed response, I haven't been on the forum since my last post - life's busy eh! I went with the s300 zipwakes, installed just inside the reverse chines. I can't seem to work out how to attach photos... but can send if you flick me your email address. Can also show you how I mounted the control panel at the helm.

Dave, I just installed the Victron 712 battery monitor on my 795, and so far I’m pretty pleased. I am monitoring my house bank of 4 batteries and one Starter battery. I agree with you, it’s a must have to manage your battery reserves. The phone app is pretty good, although I wish I could access historical information without having to be connect to the monitor. I also installed a couple USB outlets which is really nice to have. Nice to hear feedback of the Zipwake and glad you are happy with the. They look pretty slick. I installed my trim tabs after Paul did his, and it really does make a nice difference. Looks great Ron, far slicker than the option I took - I bought a $20 dual battery LED volt meter rocker switch from China on ebay! Had a sparky install it for me (way too many wires behind the helm for me!) Not nearly as informative as yours, but gives me a clear reading on both. Cup holders in the passenger side recess - that's a great idea! Will steal that one too. Cheers

The only thing I’ve had to watch for is on Sunny warm days, if you plug your phone or tablet to charge and lay it on on the dash I’ve gotten the error on my devices they are too hot to operate. That area gets pretty hot from the windscreen!

Hi everyone,
I'm troubleshooting an issue on my 2017 MF 695 and was wondering if anyone has any ideas given the similarity of the boats and lack of an active 695 group.
The issue is that I'm getting water in the side of the boat when under power near where the steering cables are run down the starboard side of the hull. I've owned the boat for a few months now and have ruled out rain leaks, washdown issues etc. It seems to only happen when the boat is under power and I believe it's coming up from the stern. Any guesses? Here are some details:
- It never has any water show up when in it's slip or after a rain (all summer)
- I haven't had water show up when idling around harbor.
- After 5 min of running under power water shows up
- I'm guessing it could be a leak in the depth finder transducer mount (above the water line, but maybe not when under power).
- Any other ideas? I tried uploading a photo of what I'm talking about, but I couldn't get it to work.
Thanks for any guidance!
PS. I also fell victim to defective glass as well. After owning for two months the glass shattered in the sunlight while in it's slip!

Hi Cpnb,
The cardinal rule of boating is that the water is supposed to be on the outside, unless it’s contained in the appropriate tank. I doubt that there is any model of any manufacturer that has never had a leak, the problem is not confined to a particular make or model.
If you look under the general Jeanneau topics you will find quite a few threads about various ways of tracking down the problem.
The main issue is that water, once inside, finds its way to the lowest part of the hull, usually without leaving much trace of where it came from. And of course that lowest point tends to move around with the normal motion of a boat out on the water. So finding water in the bilge often gives little clue to how it got there.
Of course the first thing is to determine whether it is fresh water, perhaps from your tanks, or sea water leaking in from outside. The dreaded tast test is useful if you are normally on sea water or at least brackish, especially as you have eliminated rain water. I keep wondering if we can devise a conductivity test to tell the difference, but like so many good ideas, it remains in the cloud.
The basic technique is to lay something absorbent on the hull that betrays the trail. Things such as a sheet of newspaper stuck down with masking tape, or a tissue wrapped around a suspect point. I have even tucked a dry chamois around a point I thought was the source of a mysterious intermittent leak. (It worked, leak now fixed.) Even shaking some talcum powder around can show you the trail. Anything that betrays the passage of water by trapping some of it, or perhaps by wrinkling up even after the water has dried, will reduce the possibilities and show you where to look. But I suspect there is no easy way other than careful detective work.
You might even like to start your own thread with a bit more specific title to tell us all how you go and make it a bit easier for others looking for similar information to find what you have done.
Good luck on tracking it down. Can be frustrating but with patience you will find it. Then the repair method will be more obvious.
