Thanks Ron great description. Glad you've got it done and enjoying the benefits. Agree 795 is a better boat with tabs. I did get some good results with a hydrofoil (Stingray Stealth) prior to my tabs but no lateral control with that and extra drag all the time. Sorry JB i haven't got around to posting photo links via this forum yet but i can send you photos directly if you like. Otherwise will work out how to post on here soon enough i expect. Happy boating!

Nice looking boat Ron and looks like a clean installation.
I close on mine tomorrow so I am pretty excited. Now, if it will just get to summer. We do not really get a spring anymore here in MA. It is supposed to snow tomorrow night 2-4 and in April they start putting in the docks. Go figure.
Paulmcc, look forward to seeing some pics of your boat. Thanks guys.

This shows new hole port lazarette wall (looks much tidier now though) and helm switch. I ran the wires similar to Ron although made the helm switch connections at the helm area rather than the fuse box. There's plenty of wire length to do what you like. Control box is under sink and connected to fuse box. Agree with Ron re timing etc. That's a beautiful looking boat Ron!

Further update on trim tabs. Have put 70 hrs on them in various conditions, lake, offshore and river and find they do exactly what I hoped. Makes travelling into wind and sea much more comfortable, and boat rides better in a crosswind. Quick response is good for unexpected wake etc. No issues so far. May look at Autotrim Pro in future but happy for now.

I also have more hours with the tabs and like Paul, I'm getting a much better ride in rougher water and at slower speeds. Overall I'm very pleased I added them.
Update on the Autotrim Pro, I'm still working with Bennett to shake out some bugs. When I set it in auto mode it deploys the tabs once as expected when I throttle up, which helps getting out of the hole and on plane sooner, but then the tabs retract to all up where they should stay deployed at an adjusted level to maintain pitch, so basically the auto favorite setting dis-engages. I can reengage the favorite setting but it takes about 30 seconds to find its correct pitch setting. It is nice though when I power back off of plane the tabs will auto-retract.
I will post an update once I get the bugs worked out.
Cheers, Captain Ron

Thanks so much for posting the pics and info Cap Ron. Great to hear that the tabs are working out on the boat. I sent you a PM about some details when you get a chance.
