I have a 1997 36.2 The cutless bearing in the shaft strut is getting tired. This bearing is not of the style that I have used. The ones I usually see have a bronze outer case and a hard rubber liner. This bearing seem to be just a rather soft rubber sleeve pressed into the strut. I have found bearing in a Volvo Penta Catalog titled "stern bearing for plastic bonding". Has anyone used this product? If so how does it get installed?
Thank for the help Mark Peters

I have a SO29.2 and had to replace the cutlass bearing after 400 hours of engine use. I simply ordered a replacement part from the Jeanneau dealer, Westaways in Plymouth. Fitting of this new part was simple and straight forward as soon as the prop was removed. There is a small nylon grub screw to hold the bearing in place.
