We spent this weekend in San Andrian marina at the eastern most end of the Ria de Vigo. The marina is not so small but the facilities are limited to single showers male and female with toilets. The restaurant is well worth a visit as the food is good and not to expensive. The mainero is a very pleasant fellow.
... and the cost was €15 a day for our 45 footer.

Hi Ian
Sounds good, but whilst not quite a Marina we paid only (and peak rates for July/Aug 13 euro including elec and water for alongside river pontoon at Rieux on the River Villaine. Included good showers in the adjacent campsite and free high bandwidth wifi
Now paying €39 for Piriac sur mer, which is highest so far in Brittany (OK it is just Loire Atlantic) but great town and helpful harbour staff. Have also been anchoring a lot so overall Marina bills so far quite low. Had flopper stopper deployed last night at Hoedic island, think it does help, but takes time to set up so probably psychologically biased

Rabat Marina (Morocco) would have been 1€ more expensive during high season That would include water and electricity.

Get into a real swell without FS , endure the misery , and then deploy it . Listen to the opinion of your admiral as a reference. We have a short keel and our FS is a blessing . And I've only used one so far , have not experimented yet with the extra smaller unit using the spinpole. Regards

Hi Sailbleu
Note this was an old thread, I said that 12 months ago. However we have been using it again this year and whilst it must help - as there is significant load on the up roll, in my view it is not a magic transformation, think deploying one each side would be good, but all takes time to set up.
cheers M

My mistake Malcolm , must of missed that post earlier , sorry. We deploy every time and are very happy with , but this is/was not what this topic was about of course.
