This is something that could be quite interesting to have on board on for people who like to make videos when racing around the cans (psychotiller ) Meet 360fly. A camera that introduces a new way to capture the world around you in 360 video format video that’s fully interactive and optimized for mobile devices and social platforms. Just shoot, share and swipe. Ships in spring 2015.Here's a promo of it. Sadly I can't find a sample video It could make interesting videos of spinnaker sets, drops and gybes etc... 360fly.com/

Never heard of the kodac 360. Just looked at its specs and it's only "water resistant" which I guess is ok for what I was suggesting for psychotiller

I was looking at the Kodak when was considering to what to upgrade from GoPro - finally decided to go for Garmin Virb Elite
For the 360 I was thinking to attach it to the sprayhood handle and have tbe whole boat in the video ....

I think with 360 video that you really need to have the right subject to make it worth while. I think a fully crewed boat racing with tacks, gybes, spinnaker sets & dousing could be good. Cruising, I'm not so sure.
