Engine option for the Merry Fisher 635

I hope to purchase a MF635 and would really appreciate any thoughts/guidance regarding engine options. It seems a choice between a Nanni 5.250 TDI (85hp) and a Volvo Penta unit (105hp), although there might be other options. The boat will be used for coastal fishing and occasional overnighting. I have no interest in thrashing about, but I do want a boat with enough power to get me safely back to port if caught out by the weather, which might mean crossing quite an active bar. Many thanks!
