I am a new member to this forum although I have subscribed to the Jeanneau List Digest for years. I have a year 2000 34.2 S.O. I met Eric Stromberg at the boat show in Seattle and told him I wanted a "lazy bag" for my boat. He said that he had one that was only slightly used that he would sell to me. It was shipped to me and is a beautiful bag, but it will not fit on the boom of my boat. I measured my boom at 188 inches and the bag is only about 164 inches to the mast. I laid it out under the boom and there doesn't seem to be any way that I can use it. If anyone is interested in this "in the boom" sail cover and thinks that it would fit their boom, please contact me. I will have my boat at the "Rendevous" at Poet's Cove that will be held on June 17 - 19 and will have the cover and the fittings for it there. Nancy Merson

Sorry to be so late in responding. The sail bag is navy blue "Sunbrella" fabric and it has the "Jeanneau" logo on it. I paid $450 for it to Eric. I am heading up to my boat this week-end and want some "riggers" to look at it and see if it can be adapted to my boat. I really would like to use it, and I didn't think that I was going to have any response from this list. If I am told that it absolutely cannot be made to fit my boat, I will pursue selling it once again. I will probably ask $400 for it.

I would still love to sell this lazy bag sail cover, navy blue "sunbrella fabric" with the Jeanneau logo on it. It will not quite fit on my Jeanneau 34.2. It is about 166 inches long and, when I paid a rigger to try to fit it on my boat, it lacked about 8 inches to completely cover my sail. I will sell it at a sacrifice price, as Jeanneau will not take it back and I would like to order one made for my boat that will fit. Serenite Nancy Merson

Once again, I am sorry to be so long in responding about the "lazy bag". I just do not visit this site very often. I have had my mainsail converted to a "loose fitted" sail and I am in the process of getting a new "lazy jack" system installed (with three legs, rather than two) and am fabricating my own sunbrella fabric "sleeve" to cover the sail over the outhaul end. All this in order to use the lazy bag cover that was too small ( and purchased from Jeanneau) to fit. I will do one more posting to inform anyone that is interested if all this trouble to get a "lazy bag" cover on a Jeanneau 34.2 is really worth it!
