Hi all,
I've a Prestige 30S with the sliding hardtop roof.
The roof is now very slow when retracting, and I have tried to resolve by spraying dry PRFE spray onto the cables to make it move more freely.
Have you had the same type of problem on your retracting hard roof; what did you do to fix it?
I have considered replacing the motor, but I'm not convinced that this will fix the issue.
Any ideas?
Thanks Kenny.

Hi Kenny,
On my NC11 I have a Webasto roof that was also going slower; I discovered a manual (RTFM!) and a can of white greasy stuff to apply on the outside rails. It worked fine: everything is back to normal now: cleaning the boat removes the grease during the season so you have to put some on the rails every year.
I don't know if the roof on your Prestige works the same way but I suppose spray can grease will probably disappear to quick.

Thanks Belmar for your feedback.
I have been holding off applying grease - as in good old Scottish weather it does turn quite thick/hard.....
However, if your manual recommends grease (probably white lithium grease?) then perhaps that's what I need to apply.
Thanks for your input on this!

Thanks once again Belmar!
As suspected it's a Lithium grease.
I've acquired some white lithium grease that should match (nearly) the tech specs for the OEM one, so I'll give that a go.
Cheers Kenny
