My Arcadia lists slightly to starboard. I have checked the mast and it is not off. I assume the design took into account the placement of the disel fuel tank etc on that side but even if the head tank was added later I would not think that would be sufficient to cause a list. Any ideas on what to check?

My arcadia does not list to starboard. Is your watertank full? as that full would make up the difference for the fuel, waste tank and house battery on that side. Have you loaded the starboard under seat area with a lot of stuff or in the aft compartment? I notice I am tilted forward when sitting at the dock, but once I put my fat arse in the cockpit, I am level this way

Wallace, as Marty suggests, the list to stbd is probably due to an uneven distribution of gear in the boat. Rearange your gear favoring the port side and check out the boat afterwards. My Sun Legende also "sits" with a slight tilt forward but I know it is due to the windlass and the 300 ft of chain rose in the anchor locker! When sailing with people on the cockpit it levels off. Fair Winds and following seas!

Thanks for the suggestions. The water tank is not full. I'll see if I can shift more weight to port. If you have a second house battery, aside from the starting battery in front of the engine, where have you placed it?

The Arcadia house battery should be under the starboard chart table seat. At least that is where mine is, and my OM shows it to be there. I may install a couple of BIG 6V bats equal to about 3 of the type 24 12V bats under the settee just forward of the nav station. If I do this, it will mean fabricating a new bat box/holder of some sort, and I may also remove the 12V, OR, get a different on/off switch that allows me to run the boat off the 12V or the two 6 V seperatly.
