Help please does any one have any information on the sunfast 31? (1993 vintage) We are trying to decide between it and a 32.....which costs more, but is a bit newer. Any ideas please?

The SF 31 was as a variant of the Sun Odyssey 31 a model that was much better known as the Sun Light. The 3 versions collectively were one of Jeanneaus most successful designs and around 940 were produced in total between 1987 and 1993
Designed by one of Jeanneaus most prolific and well respected Designer Daniel Andrieu.
The SF variant had a deeper draft (1.75m c/w 1.45m) and was probably heavier - displacement shown as 3100kg c/w 3000 kg The sail area was also slightly more, possibly on a fractional and perhaps keel stepped rig
The SF32 was a larger and heavier boat, regret have no knowledge on respective performance. nothing like as many produced as the Sun Light range - around 150 between 1994 and 1999 - you could look up their ratings to give a clue.
I guess you are in the UK so well worth talking to Tony Merryweather at Clarke and Carter in Burnham who would have a lot more knowledge
Good luck
Malcolm
