i am relatively new to sailing and am converting from power this season. i have looked at various yachts and it is obvious that i should go for a recent leisure craft. I have not got enough cash to out chartering a different yacht each weekend and would be interested in genuine + and - comments from 32.2 owners (or past owners) or those that have chartered them altough it seems that the 32.2 seems hard to trace for a charter anyhow!.. Thanks

Hi Moret
Had a 32.2 as a first boat (2005 MODEL LEGENDE VERSION)........found it more than competent for most things including getting caught in a squall in the channel where wind speeds topped 62 knots and waves up to 20ft! Aft cabin space and headroom not great but we used the forepeak and put the kids in the aft. Ours was a long keeled version with draft of 1.5m, all who sailed with us commented on what a stiff little boat she was. Biggest criticsms were the vibration from the shaft........eventually traced to an out of pitch propellor and the lack of deep storage lockers in the cockpit. As a first boat everything else was very good considering the price. We have just sold our 32 she is still within the Ipswich area and are now contemplating what to replace her with. Have no problem staying with the brand and am possibly looking at the 39DS.
Hope this helps
Kind Regards
Chrisl
