I have a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 36.2 and the get water (appears to be fresh clear water from a holding tank) under the v-Berth in the compartment next to the front holding tank and on the floor in the front cabin. This happens right after commissioning the boat for the summer, and 1-2 other times during the season. The front tank has been pressure tested and does not appear to leak. I wonder if it could be related to a problem while filling the tank or an overflow value. Any thoughts?

i have a 36.2 also...i got a very small split in the foward tank that only leaked when the tank was full...and then the water would spill over the (half)bulkhead in heavy winds when she was heeling and onto the carpet...my split was where the two halfs join

I had a leaking water tank problem and found it was that the water tank cap had been overtightened and needed to be replaced. If they are overtightended they break the seal and leak when full or when sailing. You may want to check this.

I have a 1997 36.2 which had the same problem.
I found that the fitting mounted into the tank needed rebeding and it was the wrong size.
If I recall correctly the fitting was 1 1/8 and the hose 1 1/4. They had made up the difference with sealant.
My repair: A short peace of un reinforced 1 1/8 vinyl hose and a 1 1/4 hose to hose coupling. The soft vinyl fit the tank fitting and was easy to stretch over the 1 1/4 coupling. The 1 1/4 coupling fit snugly into the original.
