Hi All We have a 20 year old 29.2 that had from new. Had the headsail repaired but after putting it back on it's really hard to unfurl. It goes very tight then releases, then right then releases. It's quite hard to fuel back in as well. I'm think, maybe I fitted it wrong, or it needs lubrication or someone at the marina has suggested replacing the piece at the top of the furler that's attached.to the sail Anyone else had this? Cheers Andy

Sometimes the halyard gets twisted when installing the sail. Take a look and see that it is ok. Also, the bearings in furler systems do go bad eventually. Depending on which system you have might be an easy fix.

Mine is sensitive to halyard tension. Worth trying slackening the halyard slightly before moving on to more difficult potential cures.
