Bongiorno, my wind cups blew off this morning and I was lucky that my neighbour found them. After some research I think this is the original Simrad wind transducer that came with my IS20. I searched for a long time, but I could not find replacement cups. Which means I need a whole new system (prob. a B&G WS 310). Do you guys have any "more cost effective" ideas? Thanks again! Thomas

About 7 years ago I was able to buy a B&G crane, vane and cups as a partial replacement kit for my Simrad 120 unit from the Simrad dealer in Nanaimo, British Columbia. While not cheap, it was much less than a total replacement and there were no connection issues. I have found Simrad difficult to reach directly but the sales attitude of the dealer saved me. Good luck with the search - the part is out there.

Hi,
some latest information on that topic. I glued the wind cups back into place. Hope that the wind speed is shown correctly, some comparisons with other skippers indicate so.
I bought also a B&G 608 wind sensor. I was told it is an easy replacement and zi do not need to change the cable in the mast.
Just in case someones wind sensor goes!
