On my 1095 the boat & engines (2019 twin 300 HP Yamahas) seem to working fine until I accelerate above approximately 2000 RPM, the engines increase power, but it doesn’t deliver the power to the props. At 2000, I’m moving at about 8-10 knots, depending on the wind or tide. I accelerated to 4200 RPM, but the boat did not go any faster than 8-10 knots. The bottom was just painted, no growth at all. I tried turning off & raising one engine and running on one, the same thing happened. Then on the other. Same again. I checked the props, and then are clean, no nicks or dents. On calling Junneau Canada Client Services, they suspect a computer problem. I’m on Saltspring Island, and the closest Yamaha dealer that can check something on the water (versus trailering) is Parksville. That is 3.5 hours at 8-10 knots, and I have to through narrows at slack tide. I don’t feel safe making the trip with engine problems. An email from Client Services this morning suggested disconnecting the batteries to reset the system. Checking the oil, fuel filters, water temps, etc. Anyone had a similar issue? thanks for anyone’s help on this problem.

It would be unlikely on both props, but could u have spun both prop hubs hitting something? It is more likely to happen at higher RPM as they will be under greater load.
And you’ve checked for fowling on the props and spindles like from fishing line?
Are the outdrives lowering to the proper depth so that they aren’t just cavitation/spinning air bubbles?
And last idea is to ensure the prop nuts are secured with the lock but as perhaps props are not well engaged to the spines of the drive shaft sprindle?

I did as Yamaha client services suggested and checked the fuel filters, the oil and level and disconnected the batteries for 3 minutes. The oil level was fine and clean. The fuel filters had no water and also were fine. It turned out disconnecting the batteries was the step that fixed the problem. It did a computer reset and whatever the problem was, most likely electronic shifting of the gears, was fixed. The engines are running perfectly now.
On the Merry Fisher 1095 there are 4 batteries. Looking to the stern, the one on the right is a spare. I disconnected the 2 on the left for 3 minutes. Problem resolved.
As Chris at client services said, it was extremely unlikely that I had spun both props at the same time or had hi something without knowing it hard enough to have spun both props.
I thought it would be worthwhile posting this solution in case someone else runs into the same problem.
