So, the problem of the week is my shifter/throttle cable? Last night as I was leaving the dock it seemed that the neutral position was moving and I was having trouble finding it. When coming in, it got worse and eventually it seemed to lose the connection. Luckily I had enough crew and got in the slip far enough that we were able to dock. The shifter/throttle now seems like it will completely spin without engaging the engine. I was only able to look at it very briefly this morning but everything appears to be connected.
Any thoughts on what this might be? Also, who makes the shifter/throttle? I didn't see any name on it and don't have any paperwork on it - at least in what I brought home.

We had a similar problem on a previous boat and it appeared that the little "bridge" which attached the cable to the throttle was loose, so the whole cable moved instead of the inner core.
