Hi guys,
it seems we produced f*** up No1. Shower pump was turned on while drain valve was closed. The pump (Whale Gulper) ran one circle and refuses work since then. I checked the voltage on the cables to the switch and it shows nothing.
Hope you have some ideas for me how to find the failure.
Thank you very much. Thomas

Hey,
The shower pump in my forward head just stopped working. Guess I better find and test that fuse!

Hey, The shower pump in my forward head just stopped working. Guess I better find and test that fuse! Barry it is fuse No 4 on the left fuse row, behind the switch panel ;-)

Hi, I was on my boat Wednesday, and sure enough the fuse was bad. Actually some of my 'fuses' are really small breakers. When I pressed the small 'tab' back in the fuse worked correctly. Very clever! I'm happy that the shower pump now works. I have tried to insert a picture of the fuse and panel but no sucess. Sorry. Barry

Hi all, new owner of 2014 SO379 I am confused on the shower situation. While showering the basin didn't drain. My first instinct was to see if the drain is clogged and upon prying up the drain I see it is a small hose siliconed in so assuming there is a pump. Sure enough, after reading this forum it seems there is indeed a pump under the sink and possibly a switch to activate it although I found no such switch other than the head. Any advice on this situation?

While my boat isn't a 379, I think most Jeanneaus are similar in this respect. In order for the shower pump to run, you have to turn on the appropriate switch on the breaker panel and also depress a switch in the head itself. On my SO 35, the switch has a black rubber cover and is located near the shower controls. It doesn't stay on unless you keep it pressed.
Of course, there's another possible issue with the pump not being able to self-prime, but even if this is the case, you should be able to hear the motor running.

Awesome advice, I didn't see a switch but makes sense there would be one. Of course, now I probably broke the seal at the drain and will need to fix that
