Hi guys! Very stupid question, but without the answer I just can't order any part or start any decent maintenance approach.
Where can I find the infamous HIN and CIN numbers of my recently acquired SO DS 50 2010 ? BR Marcelo

Try starboard side of hull, aft and just forward of transom

The numbers will be fairly high on the starboard side, in all likelihood. Unlike on boats from other manufacturers, the impression in the gelcoat is quite subtle, and may not be visible unless the light is just right. My insurance company wanted a rubbing of the numbers, and that was quite difficult.
The HIN is also located somewhere in the engine compartment, but the actual location seems to vary by model, so I can't tell you where to look.

Reality, a hull number is not needed to do typical maintenance, order parts per say. An owners manual is a much better thing to find from a maintenance and to a degree some of the parts and pieces. Since Jeanneau like a lot of boat manufactures use other sources for parts, finding that said manufacture based on a part# on that item is the best way to get an equal part. Then so e of us have 40 yr old versions, with 2-3 ownership transfers of manufacturing plant, even that part numbers on OM are useless. Don't be surprised if you have to do some hunting at different Chandler's marine supply places for parts.

BR Marcelo I went through this last year on my 2012 50 DS and it was a nightmare to find unless you get the lighting and angle just right. Apparently you can try using a piece of paper and pencil to do a ‘rubbing’ but I didn’t do that. Much easier is to look in your engine room on the starboard side (through the access hatch) and you’ll probably find it stamped in plain sight. That’s what I have.

Can you try to indicate in a picture where you have found that? that would enable me to reduce my "searching area " Many thanks in advance! ( could attach a picture to help here....but I just dont know how I do it ! shame on me)
