Well, after a Covid delay of 3 years, at long last we have made it to Sardinia! First impressions of Alghero, well worth the wait! Onward now, possibly Corsica, then down to Sicily.

Congratulations! I returned to "Zanshin" last week, leaving snow on the ground in Germany for 26C balmy and sunny conditions here in St. Lucia.
Doesn't it feel good to be underway again?

Thanks Zanshin Absolutely, great to be underway again, although I expect you are enjoying better weather than Sardinia at the moment, we are safe in a Marina, but currently have heavy rain and side winds gusting 30knts...Glad we are not anchored on the bay. Cheers Malcolm

I have to admit my conditions are much better - 15 knots of wind, 26c air, temp about the same water temp. This was the view from the Boardwalk Bar at Rodney Bay, St. Lucia yesterday

So pleased to hear you managed to find a window for the crossing to Sicily, with a Mistral blowing it should have been a pleasant broad reach, was it?
I'm currently looking out of my window in the south of France and its raining, and to think COCO will be relaunched in just over a weeks time? just hope, for all our sakes, the Mediterranean weather improves by then. Its still early in the season, so hang on in there, it will get better!

We haven't made it to Sicily yet, just Alghero in Sardinia. Looks like next week will be fairly calm, there are thunderstorms forecast for tomorrow...So plan is to head north, do some anchoring in the islands then probably up the East coast of Corsica then across to Elba and down the Italian coast to Sicily, but will see, no rush and nothing is fixed.

Sorry Malcolm, I was having one of those silly or should that be Sicily moments, I meant Sardinia. Your planned cruise sounds fantastic, updates most welcome.
