Good afternoon The windscreen wipers on our MF755 seem to be pretty rubbish - the motor setup seems to be for a very small sweep angle so consequently the amount of screen that gets cleared is inadequate. We are replacing the current 560mm blades with 700mm blades (I simulated the sweep to make sure the bigger blade wouldn't get caught in the roof area) but is there any method of increasing the overall sweep angle? Our 755 is a late 2014 model. Thanks

Hi Wahoo, I don't have an answer to your increasing sweep question, but I am curious if replacing the 560mm blades to 700mm blades made any difference at all and was it difficult to replace.
I have a 795 which is the same limited windscreen wipers, and living here in Vancouver, Canada it rains A LOT, so is very annoying with such limited visibility when it does. Not to mention the kick up of spray on bumpy waves.
I would love to find a way to replace the whole mechanism with the 2 arm type that is on the 895, as they cover a lot bigger range.

I have similar issues, I have tried two sets of wipers and added a spring with limited improvement. The issue wasn’t the wipers, the issue is the arms are too flimsy. I’d love a solution and I think it will require a stronger arm and a stronger spring.

I have got a new 795 model 2020, delivered recently in eary November 2019 and the wiper problem remains unchanged. If you find a way to correct the limited area covered by the wipers, ıt will be much appreciated. Probably the whole set and the system remains to be changed. I think 895 wipers probably will not help us, since they are too big to fit the much smaller 795 windshield.

We replaced the wipers with the longer 700mm set. Initially didn't seem to make a whole lot of difference because the upper third of the wiper would not press down onto the windscreen. So OH did a bit of judicious bending of the main arm to alter the direction of force - result was definitely an improvement. However it just seems completely nuts that the motor cannot sweep the wiper through a bigger angle - the middle section of the windscreen just doesn't get swept at all. Malcolm I completely understand your comments about the rain and kick up spray from the lumpy waves - we have the same weather challenges here in Cornwall as well So yes the 700mm wipers are doing a better job, but the actual mechanism used by Jeanneau for this windscreen is not up to the job IMO. An update to the wiper issue We had a good look at the actual wiper motor that was factory fitted on the boat originally. Noted the make (ROCA) and did some internet searching. It transpires that the supplied motor is preset with a 45 degree angle, BUT it can actually be changed up to 110 degrees! So, a bit of fiddling around and we were successful in improving the sweep of the wiper motor We have only modified the helm side motor as the other side is not as much of an issue. I attach a couple of phots for interest - the sweep angle is modified by loosening the 2 screws on the black plate, moving the wiper arm, then tightening down.

Thank you for the enlightening information and the pictures. We knew that the angle could be adjusted but thinking it would be complicated I did not give it a try. Your description and photos on how to change the angle of the wiper angle make the job so easy..

Here is a link to a 695 wiper thread for adjusting the wiper sweep that also applies to 795 and 895. I’ve adjusted mine and it works great. Wiper adjustment
You may also want to upgrade the spray nozzle. Here is a link to that thread. Windshield spray nozzle upgrade
One more thing, I added an intermittent wiper controller, which enables 3 intermittent settings as well as a fast speed for the wipers. Information for that is in the wiper adjustment thread.
