That's a pity because I'm principally against facebook, so I might be excluded from information if the same information will not be discussed on this forum.
On the other hand there are the last years only very few topics started regarding small boats as SO32 and SO 32i, so I might not miss too much.

I am not keen on Facebook either and believe there are many advantages in having and retaining a distinct forum. Whilst there are undoubtedly downsides of Proboards as a host, it has the virtue of being free and has a reasonable search facility. Subject to continued demand and the excellent unsung support from our moderators I hope this forum will continue well into the future. Despite my personal reservations about Facebook I do intend to keep the Jeanneau Owners group there also available and hopefully active as we have so many members there as well, but often there is not an overlap with this forum. In regard lack of small boat specific topics, that is really up to contributors, so please get posting...

This here is a great forum. However in support of the FB SO32/SF32, it is very accessible especially if you check FB regularly. It’s handy to be type specific, easy to setup notifications and very easy to post photos! I like it!

Firstly, I use FB quite a bit due to family etc, but for something like boats I find it less useful.
The primary reason for me is that the majority of help that I get, is from other yachties who don't have my boat but have been there before. If I was limited to my SO34.2 then the help I would have gotten would be very limited.
As it is, the answers I get have helped me out in everything, from large to small yachts, as we all face 'that problem' on our boats at some time or other.
Also, general chat such as Greek Tax is far better discussed amongst all boats. On FB, the few channels I am on suddenly get the same post 5 or 6 times as someone posts it across channels. Mildly annoying.
Either way, absolutely best of luck and I hope you will publish to here as well using my trick, which is to use FB as the picture storage and link here to it.

Which is why we have our FB group m.facebook.com/groups/jeanneauowners Which currently has over 4400 members
