Has anyone installed a different seating arrangement for the 'navigation' position? We find that the current bench seat is just too low and not comfortable for anything other than sub 10 knot pootling around. As soon as the boat goes up on plane the person in this seat is unable to see much and comfort is pretty lacking. 99% of the time there are only the 2 of us (and our dog) on the boat, and we were thinking of installing more of a helm chair in this position. We will have it so that it can be removed to create the berth when needed, but basically we are wanting to make the majority of the use of our boat more comfortable. We have dry fitted one helm chair, but it was too big front to back (53cm) so wouldn't allow the sitter's legs any room. Any advice/suggestion/warnings against would be much appreciated Thanks, Tish

Facing the same problem in my 795, the short term solution I found is to use the pilot seat in stand up position and sit on top of the folded narrow space. This position is not as comfortable but it works. Backpain disappears and sight is much better due to your higher sitting position. Surely this is one of the important weaker points that expects to be solved by the builder in future boats.
