Silly, silly me. I thought the teak and holly floor boards on Grace were at least veneer. HAHAHAHAHA.
Turns out, they are just plastic coated pictures of teak and holly. Silly, silly me. The high-traffic areas like the galley pass-thru to the aft cabin have totally worn through.
Has anyone successfully re-laminated or added a veneer to their boards? Any great refinishing ideas? I'm all ears.

You can buy holly & teak panels and use the old ones as templates to cut new ones. It is not a cheap option.
I did see someone try and use the artificial teak. Personally I thought it looked not that good and out of place.

I stand corrected. The teak & holly flooring is actually a wood laminate. Very thin wood, but not plastic as I had been led to believe. I had a hardwood floor guy to the boat today and he said he could lightly sand them and then re-shoot them with polyurethane (satin). I will post pics when completed.
