Looking to install a Victron multiplus inverter charger on my 469, the one i'm looking at would be the 12v, 3000va, 120A charger.
My boat has 2x 40A Cristec chargers, would I just get rid of these? Or is it better to keep them as they are and just wire up the multiplus in addition to these?
Has anyone else installed one? Any recommended locations?

I'm on my 3rd boat with Victron Quattro or Multiplus chargers. I've still got the 2 Cristec chargers on my current boat, but they were rarely used. I kept them for backup purposes, but both have now ceased to function for some unknown reason and I'll be removing them at next opportunity. When running and inverting or charging it does get warm so a well-ventilated location is necessary. You also need easy access to turn it on and off (I turn it off when not requiring inversion at night to save energy) but if you get the remote panel then access isn't as much of an issue.

We are just about to have the same model inverter installed on our SO44i. Whilst I don’t mind tinkering with the 12 v system, I decided to get someone in after watching Jeff Cote of Pacific Yachts Systems (https://www.pysystems.ca).
The Victron unit is pretty substantial. Ours is being installed in the aft starboard cabin in the ‘V’ recess immediately below the bunk. Not sure if your 469 has a similar type arrangement. I understand the key is to ensure decent ventilation. The unit itself is mounted on a vertical surface and is suspended on a flat mount. We’ve fitted the switch panel and voltmeter at the chart table. Feedback is by Ethernet so it’s an easy cable run.
I’m visiting the boat next month and will take some photos of the install.
Cheers
Jon

Brilliant, thanks for the info guys. I'll probably end up going down the professional installation as well, just need to find someone reliable in South Sicily
