Does anyone know the depth offset for a 2008 SO 42DS? Ive installed some new gauges utilizing the original raymarine depth transducer. It’s currently set to read from the transducer to the bottom. Want to change it so it reads the actual water depth. I have the shoul keel with a 5’4” depth. The new gauge has an offset setting that I can adjust to reflect the actual water depth.
Thanks, Mark

I dropped a lead line into the water and measured directly what I needed.

I measured the distances when sitting on the hard but can't find my notes. However, I have just checked the offset I entered after taking the measurements.
Depth offset is set to +0.4 on my ST60+ instrument and the depth sensor is fitted on the centreline a little ahead of the keel. The centre of the sensor is approx. 33cm in front of the bulkhead holding the forward cabin door.
My 2009 42DS has a draft of around 2.15m. I assume that your 42DS will have similar hull dimensions and location point for the depth sensor.
A setting of +0.4m should be close enough (my instruments only allow 0.1m increments anyway). On my Raymarine kit this +ve offset gives actual depth instead of depth from bottom of the hull. A reading of 2.2m would indicate I'm aground.
