Tru Design Thru Hulls - Backing Plates

Hi,

I just bought a full set of Tru Design Thru Hulls, Valves, Tails etc to replace all the same in my 39DS.

Just wondering if those of you that have installed the Tru Design Thru hulls have installed backing plates to the hull ?

I'm using the load collars on all except the Head sink and shower outlets above the waterline.

If doing flush thru hulls, you will want to build up inside some.
If a mushroom style, she a backing plate is a good thing, not as needed as flush mount.

We have mushroom type. No backing plate. All seems to be good 3 seasons on.
