There appears to be a leak in the hot water tank and I was wondering where it is located. I think it must be under the aft berth, but have not found it yet. My boat came with the large single aft berth and the forward V-berth. I'd appreciate any direction from anyone in the know. Thanks.

The hot water tank is accessible thru an access panel in the stern port side corner of the aft berth. It’s a 6gallon tank. The access panel is vinyl wrapped and held on with Velcro. You can also see the top of the tank from the port lazarette if you look down to the left of the propane tank compartment. All the tank connections are accessible thru the aft berth.

I installed the hot water tank and attached the water line from the engine that is designed to supply heat to the water in the tank to heat it.
With the engine running, the hose entering the tank feels warm to the touch, however even after two hours of motoring, the hot water at the sink is only tepid!
Any ideas as to what the problem might be? I used the same hose setup off the old tank, which provided very hot water before it began to leak.
could there be a air lock somewhere? WAter reservoir for the coolant is at the midline on the overflow tank. seems like only changing the tank shouldn’t be so drastic in the water temperature.
