Prior to our Southern Hemisphere summer I’m fitting some Caframo Sirocco II fans (many thanks to the recommendations from this site).
Does anyone know how to find the fan prewiring in the aft cabin (starboard side) and front cabin (port side) of a 42ds? I can find where they should be on the wiring diagram, but not sure how to get to the actual wires. I’m not sure what I have to remove to find them.
It looks like they should be somewhere near the AC power points
Regards
Wayne

I think that I have accessed both the connections you are looking for in the aft cabin. I didn't use them for fans but am pretty certain they were there for that purpose. Good chance that wiring layout on my 2009 DS is the same as the 2007 model.
I removed the left panel at the back of the hanging locker. It is just a matter of undoing a few screws and pulling the panel forward. I think I used some bent wire to get behind it and pull it free. I was able to reach the connections from there and join up wires from a socket I'd added for USB charging.
Pretty certain that the other side of the aft. cabin has the connections in the aft. head. Remove the front panel covering the holding tank and you might be able to find the connectors. Remove the shelf to make it easier if you can't find them, it is only held by a couple of screws underneath. It still takes a little pull to remove the shelf as it's still held by some clips but it should slide out towards you. I used this connection for an LED pad to backlight the holding tank for easy level checking.
EDIT: Looks as if you won't need to remove the shelf. I just check and found I'd taken the LED power from another nearby point. However, there's a loose wire in a flex. conduit sitting right on top of the holding tank. The connectors have 12.2V on them so I imagine that's the one you want. Voltage is low as battery is at 12.7V, probably bad connections as they look a bit green. I'll clean them up and apply ContraLube today in case I need them at some point.

Thanks. I have fitted the one in the aft cabin. I found that there were three Allen headed screws in the cupboard holding the bottom edge of the infill panel that sits on top of the cupboard. You can see one of them under the power point in the picture below. Once I had removed them it was easy going.
