Hi I'm new to this forum or any forum so please forgive my lack of experience. Thanks in advance.
I took my 2002 jeanneau prestige 32 out on the sea today, first (short) trip this season, approx 30 miles. on the last leg of the journey i took it up to about 24 knots for about 15 minutes, when I reduced engine speed to 2k revs I heard a warning beep and noticed some fumes in the cabin, I checked all gauges and saw that the starboard engine oil gauge was showing no oil pressure, I immediately turned off that engine and returned to the marina on the port engine. The starboard engine will not now start, I presume this is a built in protection, there is no oil leak, the engine oil is full, the oil filter is almost new. there were no scary noises before I shut off the engine so I hope the engine is ok. I recently had a front crankshaft seal replaced on this engine due to a major oil leak and now this!
It is fitted with two kad 300 engines with 380 hrs
I'm not sure where to look next and would really appreciate any help or suggestions.
Thanks.
