I recently replaced an Aqua Signal 41 series light on the stern on our SO42DS. After wiring the light it didn't work. The incandescent bulb is now replaced with a LED. The problem is the LED is incompatible with the housing. I mention this because it is a bit unusual to have a light delivered from the supplier that does not work because the bulb is incompatible with the housing. I modified the housing slightly to allow for the issue. Hard to believe a high quality light can be supplied that simply doesn't work! This may help someone who has the same problem. Hi Trvor! How's life treating you? Our stern light failed due to a leak. Tried fixing it and installing a LED lamp like you did. It failed and leaked again. We replaced it with Hella marine NaviLED Stern Navigation Light 980520511, but this time I mounted on on a flat plate on the aft side of the SS arch for better visibility. Filled the old holes with colored gelcoat.

Hi Brent,
All good here and I hope you are doing well. We are back on the boat for a few of months and just getting some maintenance work done. I probably should have put the light on the arch but took the easy way out.
Regards,
Trevor
