Jeanneau Model: SO39i Yacht Name: Serica of Woodbridge Home Port: Gouvia Marina, Corfu, Greece Country: Going to Marina Mytilini on Lesvos in July 24
The first boat that Henry Jeanneau developed was evidently a great design which he successfully campaigned in some of the annual “6 heures de Paris” powerboat races on the River Seine. This endurance race had several categories and was judged by the number of laps achieved within 6 hours on a tight and dangerous circuit on the River Seine under several of the Paris bridges. As shown below he capitalized on this successes with powerful advertising to promote his new business.
Very few examples of these are now known, but there is one at the Les Herbiers factory and another - shown below that is being carefully rebuilt in Brittany by Adrien Jego who expects to relaunch it this summer.
