Hello Jeanneau fellas!
We are happy to call ourself Merry Fisher 895 Owners. We are a family of 6 persons from the wonderful country - Austria! Not the one with the kangaroos, the one with the alps and cows. Thats why our English is not always the best but we are trying Right now for our situation as new boat owners and not having the best knowledge about boats we think the 895 is the best choice we could have made. In the future we already know that we will have a lot of questions so we are glad that this forum exist. Because we love the sea and Austria is located in the middle of europe we decided to give our boat Vivian the home in Croatia. Croatia is a wonderful country with beautiful beaches, clear sea and enjoyable temperatures and our favorite holiday country in the summer. We have the plan to train with the 895 and looking forward to upgrade oneday to a 1095 or something different, who knows what plans jeanneau has in the future.
Please be kind and help us out even though or questions might sound dumb to some of you - maybe it is dumb to start with a 895 having not much of a clue about boats and just some hours praxis. But this is the adventure we want to challenge.
Best regards
Markus, Silke, Marcel, Luca, Joshua, Lionel Lutz

Hi Marcus, Silke, Marcel, Luca, Joshua, and Lionel Lutz,
Congratulations on the new boat from the one with the kangaroos and the extra letters in the middle, and welcome to the forum. You will find many helpful and friendly people here, and a treasure trove of information in the older posts, most of which are timeless. In addition, you will quickly find that many of the systems and questions that arise are common to many models of craft, and even common to power and sail. So you will find lots of pleasurable fireside reading while your boat is far away.
Please don’t worry about your English, it looks perfectly fine to me, and all the readers are quite capable of asking for clarification if something is not quite clear. There are no silly questions, only things you need to know, so if you can’t easily find something in a previous thread, ask away. It is a friendly community here.
We all look forward to hearing about your adventures and following your progress as you all learn to enjoy your boat and the wonderful waterway where it is based. Mucking around in boats is a time honoured wonderful activity for the whole family to enjoy together.
