When the engine battery switch and negative are switched on there is no led on the chartable switch panel .If the domestic and engine and both on all works ok . What should be checked first .

If your boat is wired like mine, the engine battery doesn't power the panel at all. There is a single positive wire going to the panel from the engine battery switch, only for the purpose of checking the voltage.

You will find that if you turn on house plus ground, you will get the full readout for your aux. [house] batteries and all of your related 12v power draws. Turn on start as well and you will get voltage reporting on both banks. That's the way she is wired by the factory. Although you can make many sophisticated additions to your elect. readouts, the factory settings should provide enough for happy cruising.
