Well Boat show season is in full swing. I’m starting this thread as a place for perspective owners to ask questions and current owners to provide their experience, insight, and recommendations to help navigate through the purchase, configuration, and delivery experience.
Also, what is your favorite accessory you have found at shows. I haven’t been this year yet, but last year mine was MOB+ from Fell Marine. Wireless man overboard system.
Cheers, Ron

Not that innovative, but cool enough that I’m buying it:
Jeanneau 895 is being marketed with an “adventure package” which consists of a full width Yakima roof rack and basket that covers about half of the width of the cabin. Looks perfect for holding an inflatable tender on one side and crab pots etc in the basket.
I got quoted $1600 for it, installed.

Pnw, That’s what I have on my 795, so any Yamaha carrier accessory I can mount on the racks.

With the purchase of new, substantial keel boats, I strongly recommend the hiring of a GOOD marine surveyor to file a report before you take delivery and drop the cheque. Mass produced boats like jeanneau have faults that go through the factory inspections and dealers are not going to look too hard to find them. Armed with a professional survey and the cheque still in your hand, you will witness better warranty service than your boat will ever enjoy there after.

I didn’t go This year. But My big take away from Last years boat show was having the electronics reps all at one location. I was able to look and try operation of one system then walk 100 feet and try another. And with knowledgeable people There to help.

Hey Dogbreath, reach out to Jason Lee at Sundance. He is a Jeanneau owner who recently joined Sundance. I met him up at the show last week and he is a good guy who can help.

Yep. Good call. Or you can talk to Andrew there, who I’m working with: andrew@sundanceyachts.com.
FYI there is also a solar panel option as part of that adventure package.

I did pick up a Victron 712 Battery monitor at the boat show and installed it last week. I highly recommend adding a battery monitor if you don’t have one.
