Hello Everyone, My name is George, live in NJ and in a few weeks, I will become a new NC 895 Offshore owner. I was wondering if there's anyone here from the tristate area with this model. I have some questions and would really appreciate the feedback.

Thank you Capt. Gary ----------------------- Good day everyone, Does anyone have or is familiar with installing a TMD Marine AC24 Volt DC-16000 BTU unit as a replacement for the Genset-air conditioning system in NC895?

George, no but great idea. I wish I had thought of a low power A/C option for my 895.
Congrats on your new boat.

Good day to All NC895, 2018-2019 owners. Can you please share, how much did you pay for offshore version, Generator excluded-Air conditioning included?. Suddenly, my dealer have adjusted the final price I have to pay and I have a dilemma, commit or cancel.. I have to pay around 15,000 more or cancel my contract. I think, after the few trade shows in try state aria, dealers have got many new clients, even for already contracted units... I was expecting my boat to be delivered in the middle of February. Your prompt replies is greatly appreciated. Read more: jeanneau.proboards.com/thread/5255/jeanneau-nc-895#ixzz5dyC5RWH2

There are many variables affecting price such as options, engines, shipping, etc so this would be a difficult comparison. I ordeed my boat the end of 2017 just before a planned 2018 price increase so timing is a variable too. I suggest you shop and get a price for the exact boat you want at more than one dealer. Fort examine, right now rhe Seattle boat show is underway and a call to the local S dealer (Sundance) for a boat show price should be easy. No one says you must buy at a dealer near you although that is obviously a preference.

Thank you Noleman, , As soon I take over of my boat and Dealer-Captain will start to train me, I will share with you all details. At this point, I do not know too much. I am first time boat owner. Excited, but kind of -.. 1095 is excellent unit, I have seen it on boat show. For 34 ft. plus unit, with 2 big states, with separate shower box and much heavy hull, It is a perfect cruiser. However, I found it a little expensive. for outboard gas engine unit . Per my calculation, well equipped unit is almost 275-280 .My plan is to get good practice on NC895. get good experience, enjoy it at least for couple of seasons and we will see how my boating life develops-

No we didn't get the 1095 as yet. There's none available in the Chesapeake bay area at this time. (middle bay) I'm told there's going to be one at the bay bridge boat show in mid April but its already sold. looks like we well be enjoying our 895 for now.

Hello, everybody. Any NC895-1095-795 owners in North and central New Jersey? Which marinas do you use for slip rental? I have a dilemma to choose one....any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Jeanneau Warriors...
Any of you guys tow one of the things yet. I'm configuring my trailer and planning a trip this summer. The dealer wasn't able to get an accurate weight while launcher her, wondering what she'll actually weigh. Might have to add another 100 to my F series...ha

I did look into installing a forward looking infrared camera (FLIR) on my 895. I finally decided that if out at night regardless of the amount of equipment one should travel slow and I’d have sufficient tools to see using radar and the spotlight. I was concerned that unless there was a 2nd person at the helm to monitor everything it might actually be a bit of a distraction. So I decided to pass on it. That said, it’s a pretty cool piece of technology and I’d enjoy rhe chance to see it in real world use. I might end up ordering one rhe next day :,)

I too would like to know the actual weight of my 895. I suspect in particular the offshore hull is at least several hundred pounds more than rhe spec says. You may decide on a freightliner for towing :,) if you get anywhere near a truck scale swing in and see how she weighs in.

When Sundance dipped her in the water, the salesman claimed they saw 14K on the lift (which is almost twice the spec). He said he didn't have much faith in the lift's ability to weigh smaller boats. I'm looking into dragging the trailer across a scale. But then again....ignorance may be bliss...ha

You sound well experienced, like my dealer is... My dealer also recommended to hold off on FLIR instalment, at least for this season. But I do not have a radar system on my boat. I also asked him to put it on, but again, he is telling me to hold off . Well... I will comply with your recommendations guys.....

George
This 895 is my 4th and biggest boat. With the 895 we Can now navigate with confidence into more areas like crossing the Straight Of Juan de Fuca. These areas are known for their unpredictability including fog. So The radar enables Me to navigate safely in these areas. And in rough conditions but good visibility I was surprised as with the radar sometimes smaller vessels show up before I notice them visually. I wouldn’t want to be without radar. Of course you need to use it enough to get a comfort level. In Rough water or questionable visibility I prefer showing the radar image on the split screen with the GPS map on the other half. A large 12” screen is beneficial. All This said, if you only venture into local waters where weather is generally not an issure then Radar might not ever be needed. One thing To note is radar does have limitations. For instance, small buoys, dead heads, and anything barely above the surface will likely not be shown on the radar.
I did quite a loy of research and engineering calculations before my Installation. If installing the radar near the aft end of the salon roof I recommend a Minimum of 10” of radar mount height for good “visibility”. I went with 12” and had a custom Mount built by a company in the eastern US. The mount base fits on the flat area where the navigation light is mounted. I’ve seen boats with much lower mounts which concerns me as it limits visibility of low objects close to the boat. The mount company does have this Mount design on file and can pull It up If needed To build another. If anyone’s interested I can get a few pics together along with other important notes on the install. By the way, related to safety, I also installed a hailer Horn and I find it worthwhile. And I almost forgot to mention...if caught out in the dark radar is a must have!
