Does anyone know the size of the three individual tanks on. DS43? From what I can work out it’s 150L for the Front, 60L for the side (under the starboard seat) and 210L for the one in the bilge. But that doesn’t equal 500L which it should. So either: 1. My meter isn’t calibrated, 2. A tank is leaking, 3. Plumbing is leaking
Any advice?

Hi Mike. I'm not on the boat but from memory the front and starboard tanks are both 150L and the central 250L making 550L in total. These will represent the maximum volume. We fitted transducers so that we could monitor the tank levels. Obviously if the bilges aren't dry then that will require further investigation.

I agree with Mark on the sizes -550lts.
Always found the countdown gauge quite accurate until the non-replaceable battery died. A new unit is still in its box and low on the to-do list priority, maybe this year!
For anyone new to the 43DS don't assume by leaving all three valves open it will draw water from each tank in turn. It doesn't' you have to select and use each tank individually.

I have a 2003 DS43 and the capacity of my three tanks are precisely as specified above by Markevans. Bow tank 150L, starboard tank 150L and Center tank at 250L. I always run only one tank at a time so that I then know exactly what I have left on the counter. I am still using the original counter that came with the boat. Each tank has to be reset to zero when it is filled and then it counts up as the water is drawn down from the tank. Very important to reset the counter when you change tanks and fill!

Thanks all, looks like I need to see what’s up with my starboard tank.
By the way the battery in the water meter can be replaced. Not too tricky, it’s stuck in but comes out with pliers and some encouraging. Our local battery specialist stocked the replacement.
Cheers Mike
