Ahoy Cloud9..thought I will reply since you have not yet had a response. While I do not have a 45 ds I am on my 2nd JEANNEAU ds model, previously owning a 39 DS. I like the DS models for the exterior appearance as well as the headroom and day light in the salon. I believe the 45 has at least a queen size berth aft, very roomy cockpit with the twin wheels. It is somewhat disappointing Jeanneau has ended production of the DS models. We do have friends in the harbor that own a 2008 or 09 45DS since new. They spend long weekends on board and a 2 week cruise every summer so assuming their boat is comfortable for them. We had a 60 mile cruise to the Jeanneau rendevous this summer and went in formation with them and another jeanneau. The 45 motored at 8 knots and when we had the wind did 6-7 knots with sail. He has done a number of port to port races and always seems to finish well in the cruising divisions. I am sure you will get some additional imput from a 45ds owner.

.... It is somewhat disappointing Jeanneau has ended production of the DS models.... Had not seen that. I think all the 41DS and 44DS production was in Marion, SC and none built in Europe. Jeanneau seem to like to refresh designs every 5 years or so, maybe they are working on a new line? The DS range really changed expectations of interior comfort without sacrificing performance and from inception of the 54DS made Jeanneau extremely distinctive, so agree would be a real shame if they are gone for good

Good day Malcolm, yes heard about the DS end of production from the Jeanneau America Rep at the summer J. Rendevous. Appears the "new" 440 and 410 are the current "new babies" for Jeanneau. The 440 is a interesting design but at over $400,000 USD it is appearing very high cost, and than to consider the 44DS was around $75,000 USD less than the 440 last year. Cheers
