Hi everyone
We have just joined the forum as we bought a 2007 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 39i earlier in the year. Her name is Ruby Tuesday - perhaps some of you might know her?
We have just finished sailing her over the summer from near Ipswich up to Ardrossan on the west coast of Scotland where she will stay the winter. Plans are to explore the Scottish islands next year, then think about round Europe (Brexit permitting!).
There are a few things that we need to do and add to her over the winter, so will look forward to making the most of all the advice on here, and hopefully contributing in due course.
Rob & Brigitte.

You are most welcome, and although I am biased as we have a 39i as well, sure you will love her We did a circuit of Scotland and Wales 4 years ago before we headed south and got into the Med this season, they are very capable boats. Sing out if you have any questions Malcolm

Just skimmed through your great blog too and saw that Ruby Tuesday was in Suffolk when you bought her, I don't remember her but we originally were based in Woodbridge for first 3 seasons, hence the name

Hi Malcolm
Thanks. Yes, she was in Shotley, not far from Woodbridge. So far we are very pleased with her after living on her for nearly four months over the summer. I hope it continues!

Congrats on the new boat! We just bought our '11 39i Azura this past August, so we havent had much chance to get to know her yet.
The list of upgrades and minor repairs is already growing!

Ahoy Rob & Brigitte, Greta to see that you have signed up to the owners forum. We trust your delivery trip went well and you enjoyed the lovely summer that we had. We trust your delivery trip went well and you enjoyed the lovely summer that we had. Hi Ian (and Sarah)
Yes, I remember you - you were from Bradwell and advised us how to get through the gats in the Thames estuary!
Had a great summer getting RT back to Scotland - even got out to the Isles of Scilly, then on to Wales, Ireland, and now back in Scotland. Only one little hiccup - the genoa furling swivel jammed on the first day out and we had to wait a week in Dover getting it fixed. Our blog is in the link at the bottom of the post if you are interested.
Did you have a good summer too? I seem to remember you were off to Europe somewhere?
R&B.
