Hello all.
I'm planning to have a removable bowsprit made up over the next few months and I'd be very grateful if anyone with an SO45.2 in the UK would kindly allow me to spend 20 mins on their boat to measure up.
My own boat is in Sardinia and due to pressure of time I forgot to do this before leaving last month. The local fabricators are good but very expensive and I suspect this will cost a lot less done here. Based in W Midlands so the lower half of the UK would be easier, but basically willing to drive anywhere. I don't know how the PM system works here but I'm sure you all do.
If it works out well I will write it up on the website.

There’s a 45.2 in Port Hamble that uses a Selden bowsprit. Unfortunately the Selden option, when in use, blocks access to the anchor locker.
I also have a 45.2 based in Sardinia (Olbia) and would prefer a fabricated option that avoids obstructing the anchor locker when in use..
Anyone with any thoughts?

Look at Trogear. You can mount on the anchor side plates. Plus it’s adjustable so you can raise when not in use. Also still allows access to anchor and does not block your anchor locker. No fabrication or modification needed just drilling 4 bolts on supplied plates.
