Hi 44DS owners. Have somebody found connector(s) controlled by auxiliary switch? I checked the switchboard, measured all terminals on distribution blocks but no idea...
Thanks S.

Hi, I am trying to find the same on my 2012 SO 439! No luck as yet, will advise if successful. I have managed to source the wiring diagram for my boat, which is good help with other things

Yes. On my SO 39i the open connectors were on the upper left terminal block/bus behind the panel . I used mine to power a wifi extender. The picture shows a red circle around the terminal block that had the AUX switch 12v+ connected to it. I don't know if that terminal block was installed initially or later. photos.app.goo.gl/VKR4u3SQQaGbKLTNACaxton

My 2015 44ds came with factory installed 12 volt tv powered thru the Aux dc switch. It was a expensive crap tv and soon replaced with a smart flat panel ac powered unit. I used the Aux switch to than power my self installed radar unit. You should be able to see the back of switch and see if any wiring in/out of switch/circuit. Perhaps the switch is powering your vhf, wine fridge (if one installed),am/fm radio? Do any of your electronics/instruments power down if aux switch off? If not than perhaps it is a open/non-used switch/circuit.

On my SO 469 that switch powers the deep freezer. I guess it depends on what equipment is installed

Thank you for your feedback. The switch does not control any unit. It looks like it is disconnected. As the switch is soldered to PCB board it is difficult to identify where (if at all) the connection terminal sits.

My dealer told me the AUX switch powered my second (port-side) fridge. But, like most things my dealer told me, that turned to not be true, and the switch was wired to nothing. You can use it as a spare.

Thanks to everyone for help! I measured the switch board and came to the conclusion aux switch is not connected at all. There is a connector with one empty slot (see the photo) and this is the one controlled by aux switch....

I reached the same conclusion about the Aux switch on my SO439. In my case the connector does have a wire attached that quickly disappears into a wiring harness that merges with another harness of 50+ wires... never to be seen again. I’ll spend some more time to see if I can trace the wire.
The switch does not seem to control anything... it is always in the ‘off’ position and everything seems to work Ok.

I haven't traced the wire but smik's picture with the empty connect would make sense. I have a connected wire there and it probably is the AUX switch that works and is connected to a terminal block in my linked photo above. Here is mine with the wire picture photos.app.goo.gl/LeMdNW3Du6ixhx9o7Caxton

Simk-just confirming your post that my 44 is same board/wiring-upper corner socket you id'ed is DC positive out thru Aux switch. As I noted prior post I now use the Aux switch to power my radar.
