Recently been in Lygia and I find it a very good stop between Paxos and Preveza/Kefkas/Nidri
The harbour is really well protected - you can go stern to if there is space or plenty of space to anchor inside with lines to the breakwater. Very nice beach just outside. Most of the inside basin is 3.5 - 2.8m except very close to the breackwater or very north side of the quay and south west breackwater corner. The entrance actually have 3.5m everywhere - care is needed for the rocks on both sides but not risky at all - quite wide entrance 20-30m ...
Amazing taverna and great seagood restaurant . Water is free on the quay ni charge fir mooring also
In reallity thd best protected harbour around as outside the high breakwater(3+ meters) there is a small lake and another breackewater..,

Guy beside us in the yard at Preveza (Ray, old Moody) always said it was a good place and he has had a mooring there for about 20 years. I do seem to remember him thinking our 2.2m draft might be a bit much. Nice guy, say Hi if you are still there and find yourself next to an old Moody.

Think the major problem is the minute there's any sort of swell or disturbance on the surface it very difficult to spot the (many) rocks lurking below and that lay either side of the entrance.
If you run aground in Greece and it comes to the attention of the authorities you are automatically held in port until an official survey has been carried out. This generally costs around €500 and will take a few days to sort. More often than not the surveyor will take just a few minutes to give you a clean bill of health and is even quicker to take your money!

When I got in the wind was 12kt NW and the entrance was flat like a lake ...
There were red and green buys with marked the entrance with about 50 meters between them , as per the pilot book I was worried and the admiral was on the bow looking down and very sliw entering ... There were some rocks at the bottom but the depts over them were 3.5m , and yeas there are rocks on both sides but that you need to take care but a lot of space between them
In southerly wind and swell entering willl need a lot more care

I have just subscribed to Isailor Greek Charts and paid the extra £17.00 to include the 'Eagle Ray' editions with the bundle. Eagle Ray are the publishers of the Greek Pilot Book that Vasko mentioned in another thread.
I have yet to use them in anger but the harbour charts do indeed (in most cases) seem to be far more detailed and accurate than the Navionics version. Particularly when it comes to showing spot depths although I do question some. They also show the position of individual street lights which I find baffling... If they are going to such detail I would rather see the position of electric boxes and freshwater taps which seem to be absent.
Looking at the Ligia chart a 2.5m spot depth is indicated in the harbour entrance. Once inside anyone requiring around 2m+ of water should stick to the space between the two inner moles, that's if you are happy with the 2.5m entrance in the first place. The two buoys Vasko mentions are not shown on the chart.
However, as the charts do not show a date it is impossible to tell when it was last updated. The Eagle Ray Pilot Book is only published infrequently so can be way out of date.

My boat in Lygia : video of Lygia - depths can be seen clearly in the video where is shallow: www.facebook.com/vasko.tomanov/videos/10157174229723974/my draft is 1.9m but memories for Lygia are that the depth was generally over 2.8m in deep places of the harbour( on the video is very clear where they are) and the bottom soft mud my Garmin chart shows 3.5 in the entrance and the Pilot book/navionics europe shows 2.5 - my memories are for 3.5 but be CAREFUL as I may have not passed over the shallower places who knows...

I don't see videos. Just the one image from the beginning. Am I missing something?
