I have a 2008 Prestige 32 and noticed it leans to the starboard whilst at rest. The starboard stern is about 3 cm deeper in the water than the port side. Natrually I have chacked for intake of water, the fual tanks have the same amounts etc. Does anyone have experiance of this and any suggestions of the course/remedy. Many thanks.

Hi. I have a 36 which is the same in many respects. If you have two fresh water tanks they will each hold up to 200 litres. There is no cross balancing pipe but there are individual taps for controlling the flow of each tank. If both taps are left open then domestic water will be drawn equally from the tanks - otherwise one tank at a time is used with a potential disparity of 200 kg on one side. The taps are normally located under the saloon sole close to the steps leading to the galley. regards Napoleon

Hi Napoleon Many thanks for your thoughts. The 32 only has one domestic water tank which is on the port side - under the midship bed. I have been told by several people that a boat does tend to develop a tendency to lean to one side. Its not getting any worse (i've messured it and regularly check) and performance seems ok. Thanks again for taking the time to comment. Rds Alan

Hi on the 32 the single fresh water tank is on the starboard side so I guess its causing your problem. Try emptying it snd see if she sits level.
