Is it possible to place the VHF radio over the windshield ?, In that area there is a space but I do not know the depth, has any owner placed the VHF in this area? or does someone know what it measures?
The depth of the radio is approximately 5.6in / 14.3 cm
Outside the dashboard, what other options are there?
Thanks!

Mine is flush mount to the left of the throttle and down where the fiberglass begins just below the wood panel. It’s pretty tight, but works. I have a Lowrance Link-8. I also just connected it to my NMEA network so the radio now has gps coordinate support it will transmit for Distress calls.
I know a couple owners installed the Black Box and I think they are pretty pleased.
Hope this helps.
Cheers, Captain Ron

Finally the VHF radio can be mounted on the windshield with a molding that provides Jeanneau, allows to orient down the screen of the radio and provides the right background. This is how I requested it Design:

Hi,
I was planning the VHF Simrad RS20 or RS35, non of them fit to the windshield. They were to deep for flush mounth. With some extender it may goes, but not looking nice. Then we put Simrad RS20 in the place where normally the radio comes, just behind the steering wheel and the mice and te right side. I'm happy wit that solution. RS35 is too big to place it there, even I think it may fit. Radio may come over the sliding doors where anyone can play with it, don't like to have other hands around the consol and all the instruments.

is that an additional piece? I wracked my brain for my 695 and ended up mounting it mostly over the top of the sing area behind the helm..

Nice done. It would also be nice to have the all uper part from left to right and have openings, space to build the radio or just storage space. I'm planing to put something like this to the space abow windscreen: clickP.
