I order a SO 43DS on 2000 and it was delivered on late 2001, after 1 year I found many yellow spot on the deck. I reported it to Jeanneau and they told me that it was a problem that they had in many of the boats built that year. It took them 2 years to provide me with a product that would clean. The result was not satisfactory, at the same time I started noticing small cracks and gel-coat defects all around the deck. I took pictures and send them to the dealer in Annapolis who was supposed to send to Jeanneau. After a month and a half with out hearing from them, I contacted Jeanneau directly and they are telling me that the warranty won't cover this kind of defects. I am very disappointed with the company and I will like to know from you if you had noticed similar defects on your boats.

Yes check just below your thread, I have the SO40 DS and I have the same. Mine is 2002 and still lots of cracks in the gelcoat. Give me your email adress and I will send you pictures what my cracks look like. I know of a guy who had the SO40DS 99 and this year he received a brand new SO40DS because of, yepp you gewssed it, cracks on deck in the gelcoat. Mu email is morgan@mollerstrom.se and I live in Sweden and bought my boat in France this year. I was very dissaointed to see the cracks.

Hello again! OK you have the same year model as I have and the same cracks in the gelcoat. Could you please send the pics of the cracks to me for compare. Meanwhile I have the furling main Z-spar, but I am investigating how much it would be to replace the mast for Selden furling mast. It is better especially when you want to have battened furling main. My e-mail is morgan@ollerstrom.se I hope to here from you soon again!
