We are thinking about over wintering 2017/18 in Portugal. Would really value any recommendations on where might be a good option - boatyard or marina - preferably where we can haul-out. I wondered about Lisbon, mainly in the hope of reasonable flights back to UK. Ideas, recommendations, or must avoid, welcome
Thx Malcolm

Malcolm -- we did not sail into Lisbon but did Lagos. But we did visit Lisbon and there is marina there but can not tell you much about it. and it did look like a bit of current on the river which needs to be accounted for.
In Lagos there is a great marina and good community but it may be a bit expensive. We got everything we wanted there and a lot of expats are living there or in the area and the weather is nice. Not sure if you can make a deal on a long term stay or not.

But depending on how fast we cruise this season I think we will not want to go too far south. Planning to spend quite some time in the Rias. I am also in the Cruising Association and have quite a few leads on possible yards and marinas that I am following up.
