My SO32 has two blocks sewn into the mainsail for single line reefing. The sheaves within the blocks are made of an alloy and they are starting to deteriorate. They can be easily removed by undoing the securing bolt. I have tried several sail repairers who tell me that I need to buy the entire block and they would need to be professionally sewn back in. Has anybody experienced the same problem and any ideas where I can get hold of the internal sheaves? – I have trolled the internet with little success Thanks

We smashed one of the blocks on our SO32 when shaking out in a blow trying to get the thing to surf properly off wind. We never bothered fixing it as the stock sails were pretty poor and we promptly replaced them.
