Hello, All! I'm new here, and hope you can help me out. I want to install a Raymarine C80 radar display on my Goiot pedestal, but the tech says it won't fit. Any suggestions? My Interphase chartplotter is at the Nav station, which doesn't do me any good when I'm at the helm. Does anyone out there have a radar/chartplotter display on the pedestal? If so, what models? Any help would be appreciated. By the Way, I have a SO 37 on the Chesapeake Bay. Thanks.

My 2003 43DS had the same problem, and the previous owner installed the chartplotter on an arm that is about knee-high. Unfortunately, it sticks out and gets in the way when moving along the starboard side of the cockpit, and the wiring is exposed, which I think will be a source of some aggravation at some point in my future. My wife likes the fact that we can share looking at the display, and I have to admit that being able to see it from the side of the cockpit is a benefit. The other down side is that you have to reach thru the wheel to push the buttons. I think it was mounted low so that the pedestal cover would still fit.
I have looked for solutions, and have found that I can buy a later model Goiot pedestal top that sticks up higher, and can accomodate the chartplotter. Only about $350, direct from Jeanneau. As an alternative, I think I will likely build a box extension, using some Starboard or other white plastic, which will lift the plotter above the pedestal cover, and give me the room in the back. I have seen this on a few other Jeanneaus with the same problem.
